In celebration of Women in Tech Day, RELX | Reed Elsevier reaffirmed its commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in the technology sector by hosting a dynamic “Women in Tech Forum” for female students from top universities across Metro Manila. The event brought together aspiring technologists with seasoned professionals to share stories, exchange ideas, and inspire the next generation of tech innovators.
The Women in Tech Forum featured an engaging discussion with tech content creator Julia Torres (anna.coding on TikTok), RELX | Reed Elsevier Head of Technology Operations Joanne Landicho, and Data Science Manager Rhina Arcala. Each speaker shared personal experiences on navigating the tech industry, highlighting both the challenges they’ve faced and the opportunities they’ve embraced along the way
A Q&A session allowed students to directly connect with the panelists, asking thoughtful questions that ranged from career advice to personal insights on navigating life and leadership in tech. Adding excitement to the event, three lucky attendees won raffle prizes, including an Uno RG 3-Port Robot GaN Fast Charger, a Razer Barracuda X Gaming Headset, and a Razer Ornata V3X Keyboard paired with a Razer Viper V2 Pro Wireless Mouse.
Key female leaders from RELX | Reed Elsevier also lent their voices to the occasion. Manila Site Lead and HR Director Seset Lopez opened the event with a message on empowerment, while Faith Carlos, Head of Strategy and Program Management Office, closed the program by underscoring the critical role women play in innovation and decision-making across industries
